My passion for baking started years ago in my grandmother's kitchen where my sister and I would bake our favorite cookies on summer visits. Later, my mother shared a scrumptious recipe for chocolate chip cookies that became a favorite with many friends and family members.
The Backcountry Bar was created after many requests for a healthy alternative to my favorite chocolate chip cookie. The Backcountry Bar is baked with only the highest quality ingredients. We do not use flour, white sugar, preservatives or high fructose corn syrup! It is loaded with wholesome ingredients – a variety of nuts, seeds, dried fruits, and oats.
Today, the Backcountry Bar and our Gluten-Free Backcountry Bar are baked and distributed to over 200 retail stores including health food stores, food co-operatives, grocery stores, fitness and outdoor retailers and coffee houses in Idaho, Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Consumers are enjoying the benefits of a ready-to-eat, wholesome and tasty bar to fuel and energize their day.
